3×7 Half Bath Layouts
A 3×7 half bath is 21 sq ft (36″ × 84″) — room for a toilet and a sink. 1 of 4 standard layouts passes code clearances with a regular in-swing door. Plan B also works with an out-swing or pocket door. At 3′ wide the toilet has to sit on an end wall and face down the room.

Questions about 3×7 half baths
Is 3×7 big enough for a half bath?
Yes. Plan C fits a toilet and a sink with the code minimums: the toilet centerline 15″ from walls and fixtures, and 21″ of clear floor in front of the toilet and the sink.
Can the toilet and sink go on the same wall in a 3×7 half bath?
No. At 3′ wide a toilet facing the opposite wall would have only 10″ of clear floor in front (21″ is required), so the toilet goes on an end wall (Plans B and C).
What size vanity fits in a 3×7 half bath?
A cabinet vanity doesn't fit with full clearances; use a compact 18″ × 14″ wall-hung sink instead (Plans A–C).
Which door works best in a 3×7 half bath?
An in-swing door works in Plan C. A pocket door works in Plan B, Plan C and frees the swing area.
